Would be great to have categories option for submissions. Makes it easier to organize and filter, especially when there are lots of entries.

It would be great to be able to add a bit of code from google analytics so I could measure the traffic to my site.

When a user visits the site they now see my branding. When they want to sign up they get told they are signing up to a 'slinkset' account. This creates some confusion at a key point. I would be willing to pay a small amount to have my own branding throughout the site (ie no slinkset branding at all).

Like the digg this button that site/blog owners can embed, but the superior reddit up/down arrow version. I once saw Aaron Swartz comment on these saying that they were next to useless for the site owner, but gave reddit a lot of free publicitly.

It would be really good to have a leader board for contributers.

Community to share custom slinkset designs.
Slinkset offers the ability to customize the look & feel of sites using various customizations via:
1. Settings > advanced > sidebar html
2. Design > Expert (CSS)This feature request is to have a forum/community where such designs/expert css can be shared, thereby leading to even better looking slinksets for everyone.
This feature request came about from a post on the help forum: http://help.slinkset.com/links/featured_site_designs

When someone replies to a comment you've made on Reddit, your little mailbox icon turns red, and when you click on it you can see the reply.
This is a great way for discussions to continue, because you don't have to actually go back and check to see if there were replies.
(I thought you guys might have this feature, since your admins are so good about replying to comments I leave, no matter how deep in the thread!)

What about translations into popular languages? You can post the locale files and PPL can translate it into diferent languages. Spanish/French/Dutch ...

This is quite a personalized one. I have a Ning community I administer and there's no good way to share community news. I'd love to have a large (fully functional - not just rss) widget for my slinkset site that I could fit on to my front page of my ning site.

The ability to tag an URL submission and a Tag cloud for the site would be a very useful feature.
Use case would be "Tag articles about competitors as 'competitor'; or 'features'"

I wouldn't even put this as a high priority myself, but it would allow for some interesting possibilties.
For example, I was having a conversation with some people at my employer about the possibility of using slinkset as a way to set up a voting/nomination process for an awards program my company puts on. I realized the only way I could truly make it work would be if i could eliminate the age of post as a factor in the sort algorithm, and also control pagination (so i could get all of the nominees on the same screen).
Anyhow, just an idea which may be of use some day.

Let's say I create a specialized slinkset to track the blogs of all the YC founders, can I upload an OPML that has the links to all the blogs, and that gets pulled into lets say ycomibnator.slinkset.com.
Is this possible? Thanks

to make slinkset easy signin and social. Does it on your roadmap?

This is not really a feature request. More an idea. I think with very few modifications, slinkset could be a very interesting blogging platform that does the job a lot better for some blogs.
I'm sure many Slinksets already are more geared towards blogging then link sharing.
- Some blogs use a 'most popular' list of some kind. Slinkset might take care of that in a superior fashion.
- Some blogs are really about the comments. Slinkset might take care of that in a superior fashion.
- Some blogs produce too many posts to just go in & read all the new ones once a day/week.Maybe this could be done by just moving around a few exiting features ('recent' as the default page, the widget in the panel, etc.)
Just a thought.

It might be interesting to have an 'evergreen tab' in addition to the popular & recent tabs.
'Recent' uses a date heavy ranking algorithm (I assume), 'evergreen' uses a vote heavy algorithm & 'popular' ranks using both. I can see several uses for such a feature or variations of it. In combination with other requested features (eg tags/categories) it can be even more useful.
For example, in a heavily tagged/categorised slinkset, it could be used as a resource centre. For a low traffic slinkset, this might make a better 'homepage.'
Maybe it would be useful to just let admins set the weighting of time/votes to create a custom tab. I assume that a different criteria for ranking is appropriate for different sites. Quick news sites (like digg/reditt) are very time sensitive, but slinksets might have other uses that do not require a large number of daily submissions to 'work'.
Maybe you already take care of this in the background with a dynamic system comes up with a ranking criteria for a site individually, taking into account how busy the site is. I dunno, I'm a new user.

24.No Follow Links? (www.dietobserver.com)
Is there a way (am I missing it?) to turn off the No Follow on all of the links?

I've always hated the Reddit-style list view (that Slinkset uses). I much prefer the digg-style list view. Can you create two or three options for us to choose from? Easy stuff. Let people decide what they like best.
