Feature Requests

Yet another nice addition to the categories feature would be to provide RSS feeds filtered by category.

A nice addition to the categories feature would be the ability to multi-select categories. Typepad does this nicely with their blog software. They include an option to "select multiple" from the category drop down. If selected it pops a new window wherein the user can multi-select using the standard ctrl-click method.

I agree, categories are a must have!

I am quite a bit sheepish I came across Slinkset only now. I have experimented with every other available hosted service and script in the last two years.

I have always been in love with Reddit - and a full implementation of Reddit would be amazing to have. Right now, categories are still missing, as is sufficient customization. The iframe sidebar is at best a temporary solution, I fear, if I need to operate a professional social news site.

So far corank has failed due to their weird also and minimal customisation and admin features - I sincerely hope you guys get categories above all in place as soon as possible. You guys have great potential here. Hope you guys get cracking on stuff soon, I would prefer you above every other solution currently available!

I would like admins to be able to make categories that are perhaps viewed by all but used by invite only.

well ... tags and categories are more or less the same. But it should be n-to-m, so every link can be in several categories, one category can have several links (duh! ;)) and that possibly makes tagging a better metaphor.

But this is really one of the big ones that is missing think.

I think both would be nice. Wordpress has both.

It would also be great to be able to assign feeds to a certain category as well.

We hear a lot about tags as well. Would both be helpful, or one or the other be better?
