as a trick, in the meanwhile, you should replace text in specified classes (like Popular. recent and submit) with an image saying what u want in your own language, and use text-indent: -9999px; in the advanced css tab in the setting for each of those classes.

it's just an idea, but I'm quite sure it works.
but please be quick with languages! I'm up if an italian translator is needed.

just make text inline-customizable..at least Popular - Recent - Submit ;)
